APU Generator and Ground Power Gauge

I've written an XML gauge to remedy the battery dying while the APU or Ground Power is activated.

This is just the APU fix. I'll try and combine the Gound Power at a later time

Now available in the Avsim library, search for:
Boeing 737-200/Adv APU and Ground Power Mod

Thank you Paul. Much appreciated. Now to go and give it a try.

Can someone please explain why, after I sign in to my Google account, do I need to save all my info even though nothing needed changing, before being able to download the file? Google can be such a PITA sometimes! Shocked

First, thank you for this fix, fsxPaul. Second is there a temp fix for the ground power now?

Hi Paul.

All I see with the APU Test gauge is a black box. Could this be because of these lines in the code:

[i]<!-- BlackBox2 Gauge
     <blackbox>
           <output format="Column" />
           <display units="yes" />
           [b]<gauge file="C:\Users\Paul\Desktop\BlackBox2\Simulation Variables.xml">[/b]
                 <variable name="(A:APU GENERATOR ACTIVE,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(A:APU GENERATOR SWITCH,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(A:ELECTRICAL BATTERY BUS VOLTAGE,volts)" />
                 <variable name="(A:ELECTRICAL BATTERY VOLTAGE,volts)" />
           </gauge>
           [b]<gauge file="C:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\SimObjects\Airplanes\CS_B737-200\panel\CS737_APU_Gen_Mod.xml">[/b]
                 <variable name="(L:E_Batt_bus,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:O17_001_SW3,enum)" />
                 <variable name="(L:Apu_strt,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_APU_on,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:O10_005_SW2,enum)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_AC_TRANS_BUS_1,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_AC_TRANS_BUS_2,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_DC_STDBY_BUS,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_AC_STDBY_BUS,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_AC_GEN_BUS_1,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_AC_GEN_BUS_2,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_AC_MAIN_BUS_1,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:E_AC_MAIN_BUS_2,bool)" />
                 <variable name="(L:ApuGenOn,bool)" />
           </gauge>
     </blackbox>[/i]

They do not apply to my situation.
1. I don't have the BlackBox 2 gauge installed (although I do have it)
2. My FSX is installed in [b]I:\Flight Simulator X[/b]

Should I install the BlackBox2 gauge and change the values to match my setting?

I understand it is not part of this fix; however, is there a fix for it at all? If so where can I look to find it?

Please be patient. I've just finished the Gound Power fix and will be posting to the Avsim library shortly.
Stay tuned Wink

No problem, fsxpaul, I'm not in a rush. I am only asking for information purposes. I have not seen a thread here about a fix for the lack of ground power. I was not sure if it was a problem only I was having or if it is a common issue. My apologies if I may have sounded pushy or impatient. That is not the case at all. I am just trying to research information.  Smiley
