Top of decent not working

Sorry if i am hard to understand, im new to cs, but i had the fmc all set up, i was approaching the airport, and it says top of decent: now. but it stays at FL200. i had all the ild and i even clicked the loc button when the glidescope was found. nothing. then it said discontinued. and put me on a heading hold. what did i do wrong?

Did you roll back your altitude on the MCP before reaching your descent point?

My attitude was set to 1000 ft below the landing alt, i even set it to 0 and it still didnt work. i hope i can get this working again, its a wonderful plane Smiley
i set the altitude on the mcp about 10 NM before top of decent.
i tryed again at 15 still sais t.d: NOW.

Did you engage VNAV on the MCP before entering T/D?

PGspy18. Did you actually see the T/D marked on the ND? Or was this one of those cases where it failed to create a T/D in the first place?
