Yep. VOR hold mode works in 707. At least something to use in low vis.

Did CAT II require use of A\P down to DH back in 70's-80s? Or you could hand-fly?

Anyway, i'll fly it again today. Im working on cross-controling on landing, to land on centerline, so doing a lot of circles Wink

To fly a CAT-II approach you needed the following:

Autopilot and one flight director with dual display or....

Hand flown with dual flight directors and auto thrust.

As I've said before the 707's F/D was nowhere near as good as the 727.
I guess a few years of advancement in electronics makes a big difference.
