Title: Boost in frames
Post by flynryan692 on May 31st, 2012 at 7:49pm
Hello, I was wondering if there was a way to give me a little boost in frames. I noticed the cabin is very feature rich on top of all the exterior features. Is there a way to remove something (anything) to give me a few frames. I haven't been able to hardly use this at all due to bad frames.

I have a Intel Q8300 Overclocked @ 3.0ghz, 8gb G.Skill Ram, GTX 460, 1TB HDD. I can get 30 fps in any plane except my CS767 which I only get 15-18 fps.

Use ACE to turn the cabin off. Choose virtual cockpit only, in other words. I got a huge boost in frame rates after I did that.

Did not even think about that, I'll give it a shot thanks!

I am surprised that with that system you aren't getting more than 25 FPS? Are you running a lot of 3 rd party addons, scenery, weather, etc?

I was getting similar frame rates from my Q9550 @2.83GHz, 8GB RAM and a Nvidia 9800GTX+. I did overclock it to about 3.1GHz without much gain at all, so I went back to the original 2.83GHz. I only got better frame rates when I upgraded to my computer to what I have now.

I got a few frames from doing that, not much though.

I run Active Sky Evolution, Squawkbox 3, and I have FSDT scenery, FlyTamapa all that stuff. I test my aircraft at KPAE since I have no scenery around to effect the performance. Hopefully when I build my new system I wont have this problem anymore!  :)
