I dont know about v4.6, but the tool tip for the trim indicator in v4.4 did not show the correct trim value. You have to use the actual trim indicator in the VC to set your trim. Whenever I used the tool tip to set the trim the plane always started to rotate by itself during takeoff. When I set it by looking at the actual trim indicator instrument the plane never rotated by itself.
I dont know if this was fixed in v4.6 .... I'm guessing it wasnt
