Title: BA Open Day
Post by pete197 on Nov 12th, 2011 at 8:31pm
Hey guys,
just as a general question who went to the BA Open Day at the 3rd of September, I went there and it was amazing. I saw the A318 next to the A380, funny sight. I also saw the BA 757 in the Speedbird livery, a rare sight.

Of course you're referencing the 'landor' livery as the speedbird one, right? BA is getting their A380 in 2013, and their 2 A318's operate the Speedbird 1 route from London (city) to NYC.

No, the 757 saw service with the Speedbird livery for about two years until they changed to the Landor:
Here is a photo of it. Landor was a Californian design beforen the Utopia one. This was the original livery after BEA merged with BOAC. The only mod is that instead of British airways it just said British. One of the A318s was not in a flight, so they came as an addition. The A380 was one of the test examples with GP7000 engines. Obviously not in a BA livery.
