Title: Passenger Weights
Post by boeing247 on May 14th, 2011 at 10:39pm
If I look in my "Fuel and Payload" window for the 767, it displays the correct NUMBER of passengers, but after about 30 passengers or so, the weights are 0. I used the ACE to fill up most of the plane immediately prior to starting up FSX. What's going on there?

Thanks,
boeing247

Are you sure you pressed ACE's [SAVE] button in the right way? Sometimes is necessary to press several times the button to save the new payload.

I suggest to check [FUEL AND PAYLOAD] before press [FLY NOW].

Sometimes I have the same problem and when it happens I change the flight number at [CURRENT AIRCRAFT], then I check if the new payload is ok, and only after I close the ACE and go to [FLY NOW].

1) You ARE saving the changes you make in the ACE, aren't you?
2) Does your OS (Vista or Win7) require you to run ACE "as an administrator" so that the saved changes can be made to the aircraft.cfg?

@Pinatubo. I often make the changes while I'm actually using the aircraft in FSX (accessing the Captain Sim > 767 ACE from the menu). I just reload the aircraft and the changes have been made. It always works for me.

I am clicking save, but I'll try running the ACE as administrator.

Mark,

Of course, it works this way too. But when you are not using yet the aircraft in FSX, and to prevent any mistake, I think it is a good idea to check the changes before start a new flight.

Yes. I do that before I even turn the Battery switch on.
I never make changes after setting the FMC or I have to redo it all. ;)
