I don't think my P3D likes to run in Legacy Mode. I keep getting a fatal error (CTD) when I use it. I wonder if it's because I have both P3D AND FSX installed. Undecided

Yup, you can only have one installation of FSX in your one hard drive. If you enable Legacy mode, it reads as two FSX.exe files and it will crash. I am enjoying this bird in P3D, it works really well, with all the tweaks I found in this forum, I have started using it on my VA's VAFS flights as well.

They are installed on different drives/partitions.

I:\Prepar3d (Disk1/Partition3)
J:\Flight Simulator X (Disk2/Partition1)
Don't forget that the first HDD is Disk0. Wink

So they are not even on the same drive. But I guess if there are 2 fsx.exe's on the computer, it might get "upset". Cheesy Grin

I have finally got v.9 to install and run, but it does have a great number of functions not working.  v1.0 I cannot find, but I recall that it CTD after a few miinutes  of flight.  V1.12 does not seem ever to get its systems initialised.

Next thing I will be flying the old other model!

Captain Sim, this is your chance.  While the other newest and bestest is blocked from P3D this is your chance to profit from this expanding market.

Yes I'm stymied too.  It just won't run in P3D for me.

Well, I believe they are waiting for version 2.0 of P3D, I'm sure a lot will change.

Who are waiting for version 2.0? Captain Sim?
I can't see why they would be waiting for version 2.0, even though there may be a lot of changes in the next version, surely the next version isn't going to be THAT different!
And if it is that different, imagine if all the developers, who already have products for P3D, needed to redo them because of the differences! That could make things awkward. Unless the developers get prior warning of the changes needed in the products to make them suitable for v2.0. Shocked

The reaction was stronger than expected, I believe there is something good to go!
Well, if there is 777 to P3D, I promise I'll replace the photo bunny 757 for a photo of Suzi Quattro Smiley

Sorry if my previous reply came out a bit strong (aggressive), it wasn't meant to be. Embarrassed

Hi, I have only one thing on my wish list. Fix the Flight Operation in the grey areas. They are well known, real problems,
Once this is fixed, the new release will not be much different from 1.2 cause 1.2 is doing a good job. For me anyway !!

As far as P3D is concerned, you are looking in the wrong direction here.
P3D boosts that they do all their improvements and remain compatible with FSX. It is for them to prove it. It is human to put the blame on the next guy ! wash your hand. In FSX, all my knobs, switches and rotaries work great like they bath in oil ! I expect no less! Shocked

Have a great flight

I tried to install the 777 in P3D last night. It does not crash, but nothing works and I have no landing gear Cry  V1.3

I believe I have a backup of V1.1 somewhere... I may install that one and see if that works

I completed my 4th flight in the 777 1.3 last night, in P3Dv2...no problems, it works beautifully.

I installed using the Estonia migrator and "remarked" the one gauges line, same as in version 1.4

I even used full voice control via MCE, the bird climbed smoothly, flew no problems....many more flights to come yet!

I am  not lucky like you. I tried to install 777 1.3 to Prepar3D V2 with Estonia migrator and made a correction on  one gauges line.
All FDs are  STILL black and no landing gear.
What did I miss?
Is it possible can you give step by step your installation and  I can be sure not REPART MY ERROR ON AND ON.
thanks Cry
